Birth and Death
Border points of the body
There are many different views on the process of birth and death. Starting with religious teachings, scientific medical studies and philosophical treatises, to shamanic traditions.
But we can also just take a look at the local section of a daily newspaper to see how the process of birth and death is portrayed there.
Many times subconsciously and dressed up in funny words the appropriate inner recognition is expressed. The child is a fully developed soul before, and of course after birth, therefore a fully capable personality.
It “forced the stork to land”
The soul was given a “termination without notice” of its 9 months stay in the womb
The new soul apologizes for the delay, as it still had to “get used to the world a little”.
The general expression of mother “bringing a child into the world” illustrates in a few words the process of birth and the task of a mother. She does not create a new child, a new personality, but she gives birth to the soul that is in the beyond with the help of the new body she provides.
At birth, this soul then “sees the light of day”through the child’s body.
This process of becoming human is often referred to as “a gift from heaven”,
or as “a big miracle”.
This frequently used description: a little bit of mommy, a little bit of daddy and a whole lot of miracle, however, is contrary to the understanding of classical natural science. Biologists would describe a child as: a lot of the mother, some of the father, no ethereal soul, no miracle and certainly no gift from heaven. According to conventional medicine, a newborn would be exclusively a body created by the parents.
This material, strictly body-related perspective is fortunately not reflected in the birth announcements. The most important thing about a child is not its body, but the inherent soul, the spirit, the ego-consciousness. This is also commonly referred to as a gift or miracle that invigorates the child’s body provided by the parents.
The statements of the majority of all birth announcements confirms my findings, which I would like to present in the following in a mentally spiritual and a physically material point of view.
A stay on earth begins with a common desire. On the one hand the desire of a soul to develop further on earth. On the other hand that of the parents to provide a body to bring a soul into the world. No soul arrives on earth by chance.
During pregnancy the connection of the soul, which is still in the beyond, with the developing body takes place. This is indicated by the first movements of the child in the womb and is the actual beginning of the soul’s entry into this life on earth. This process could also be called the spiritual conception, the gift or the miracle. Spirit, soul and body are now connected to each other for this life on earth.
Upon birth, the newborn separates from the mother to become viable on its own.
From early childhood on, the child then trains its brain and forms its intellect, which is materially oriented.
“Spiritually the child is a complete personality in itself. Apart from its physical body, which it needs as a tool for its activity on this gross material plane, it has received nothing from its parents – only a dwelling which the already independent soul can make use of.”

Then begins a more or less lengthy adult life, in which the spirit makes the most diverse experiences, gathers knowledge and further develops its personality.
Consider the relationship an adult has with their parents in the middle of their life. Do they see their parents as the creators of their personality, of their consciousness? Or do they see themselves as an independent person, as an ego-consciousness, which once received only the body from their parents combined with great care in their youth.
With advancing age, the body will eventually reach the point where it is no longer viable for biological reasons. The human being dies, which means that the spirit and the soul separate from the body.
Let’s take another look at the newspaper to learn more about the general understanding of death in obituaries.
The bereaved often write:
“We bid farewell…”
Then, the name of the deceased is mentioned.
But what did they bid farewell to? The mortal remains in the coffin are often called a corpse, no longer referred to as the actual person. But farewell is said to the personality that animated this body until very recently. Therefore the personality must still exist and has now left its body and crossed over. We do not say goodbye to someone who no longer exists.
The conviction of the continuity of the soul after death is often expressed quite clearly and unmistakably:
Remember, it is only the shell that passes away, the external cover, the house in which the soul once found a home. Now it floats upwards and watches over us.
The words “See you later”also directly refer to a reunion.
Put into verse, it can also be read: We kneel in deep sorrow.
But one thing is certain – we will see each other again.
After serious illness, death is viewed from a different perspective:
“… it is not dying, but salvation.”
This choice of words also implies that the soul of the departed still exists and that it is much better now than it was in its last days in the earthly body.
In general, the term is used to refer to a person who has passed on and the –remaining relatives. This choice of words also captures the context very precisely. One has passed on, the others are still left behind. But where does this person go, if we speak of passing on? Answers to this question can also be found:
“… crossed over into what she called the “New World.”
Or more precisely:
“…crossed over to the spiritual world.”
“We are only guests on earth and wander without rest
with various ailments towards our eternal home.”
I was pleased to find that the view of classical medicine according to which the personality, meaning the consciousness of a person suddenly ceases to exist with the death of the brain, is not very much represented in the obituaries.
Now let´s return to the course of a human life on earth.
Due to old age, illness or an accident, the soul separates from the body, which is no longer viable from a biological point of view. The body is dead and rejoins the natural cycle of nature with its material components.
Birth and death are the border points of the body, which define the time span of an earth life. However, mind you, they concern only our body. The spirit, the soul, meaning our actual self, was brought into the world by our mother with the child’s body wrapped around it. After this body is no longer viable, the spirit, the soul with the accumulated experiences will once again cross over.
The stay on earth has ended.
“The process of dying in itself is nothing but birth into the Ethereal World, similar to the process of birth into the Gross Material World.”
